MS Dhoni’s absence during India vs Australia T20I series will be missed by Men in blue

The Indian National Cricket Team take on Australia in a three-match T20I series without MS Dhoni. India’s tour of Australia will consist of 3 T20Is, 4 Tests and 3 ODIs.

It seems as the new era has begun as the man who was an integral part of India was dropped from the shortest format of the game. The selectors told that they wanted to give an opportunity to Rishabh Pant as a wicket-keeper.

Ahead of the 1st T20I at The Gabba, Brisbane when India’s 12-man squad was announced, on social media Dhoni’s fans expressed the sorrow of not seeing Thala in T20Is at Australia.

Indian Skipper Virat Kohli will surely miss the services of the Mahendra Singh Dhoni as Dhoni is one of the most iconic cricketers in the world. In the last T20I match that Dhoni played against England at Bristol in July 2018, Kohli was seen taking Dhoni’s guidance. Even the bowlers also who sought inputs from Mahi on fielding changes and other.

The 37-year old is an experienced player and with his support, Kohli is proving his skills as a captain. India’s current wicket-keeper is Rishabh Pant but not to see Dhoni as the gloves-man is something which the entire team will miss.

As far as the Decision Review System (DRS) is concerned, it has been observed that there wasn’t a more perfect cricketer than MS Dhoni. When Kohli went for the review despite Dhoni not being convinced resulted in the decision going against India’s favor.

Simply Dhoni’s presence on the field is a boost morale of the young players. It has been said that ICC World Cup 2019 will be the last international assignment for Dhoni.
