Know all about Kings XI Punjab Squad for IPL 2019

The Kings XI Punjab cricket team representing the Mohali, Punjab in the Indian Premier League declared the list of players retained and released by KXIP from their Squad of IPL 2019. The IPL 12th Edition will most probably start from 29th March 2019.

The IPL player auction will take place in December while all the franchises have declared the list of players they retain before 15th November. The Punjab based franchise is owned by Bollywood actress Preity Zinta and Wadia Group scion Ness Wadia, Dabur’s Mohit Burman and Karan Paul.

PCA Stadium, Mohali is the team’s home ground. They also play some of their home games at Dharamsala and sometimes at Indore too. KXIP was a runner-up in IPL 2014.

Kings XI Punjab had decided to release most of their players ahead of IPL 2019 auctions. As many as 11 players were released by KXIP that includes Axar Patel, Aaron Finch, Yuvraj Singh, Mohit Sharma, Manoj Tiwary, Barinder Sran, Ben Dwarshuis, Akshdeep Nath, Pardeep Sahu, Mayank Dagar, and Manzoor Dar.

Players like KL Rahul, Chris Gayle, Andrew Tye, Mayank Agarwal, Ankit Rajpoot, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Karun Nair, David Miller, and Ravichandran Ashwin were retained by them. KXIP also traded Marcus Stoinis with Mandeep Singh from Royal Challengers Bangalore.
