Issues faced by Team Australia ahead of the second test

India vs Australia test series began from 6th December with its first match at Adelaide which India won by 31 runs. Team India is confident for the second test match at Perth which is scheduled from December 14.

Tim Paine and his men delivered a brave performance but fell short by 31 runs against Team India. Now before the second test, Australia has only three days to correct their form and perform well in the next test.

There were many issues faced by Australia Cricket Teamand these issues appear to have no immediate fix. Skipper Tim Paine fitness is also a concern as he got a sore right index finger after being struck on the glove by a short Mohammed Shami ball on the final day of play.

The Australian Captain was provided medical help on the field and said that he would be fine to play in Perth but former Australia skipper Ricky Ponting noticed that it was the same finger of Tim that has undergone through seven separate surgeries previously.

Another issue that Australia faces is the absences of Steve Smith and David Warner who were suspended. Australia managed to score only 235 runs in the first innings and in the second innings, they scored 291.

Aaron Finch is placed at the top of the order after Ishant Sharma bowled him for a third-ball duck in the first innings. Finch was out at just 11 while Australian Coach Justin Langer has emphasized the need for a solid start from Australia’s top three.

Former Australia Captain Ian Chappell told that the Finch is obviously the major one who is under pressure. He said, “Whether they go with him as an opener in the second Test. He’s the one that’s most under pressure.”
