Know all about Sunrisers Hyderabad Squad for IPL 2019

Sunrisers Hyderabad submitted its retentions and releases from its IPL 2019 Squad to BCCI on 15th November which was the deadline. The player auction will take place in December.

The winner of the 2016 Indian Premier League, Sunrisers Hyderabad became the third team to announce their list of players for the forthcoming IPL season after Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians.

SRH, the winner of the 2016 Indian Premier League released 9 players from its squad that includes Sachin Baby, Tanmay Agarwal, Wriddhiman Saha, Chris Jordan, Carlos Brathwaite, Alex Hales, Bipul Sharma, Mehdi Hasan and traded Shikhar Dhawan to Delhi Daredevils for Abhishek Sharma, Vijay Shankar, Shahbaz Nadeem.

Sunrisers Hyderabad was the runner-up in IPL 2018 defeated by Chennai Super Kings who secure their third title. Along with Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians also won IPL title three times.

The team retained players like Basil Thampi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Hooda, Manish Pandey, T Natarajan, Ricky Bhui, Sandeep Sharma, Siddarth Kaul, Shreevats Goswami (wk), Khaleel Ahmed, Yusuf Pathan, Billy Stanlake, David Warner, Kane Williamson, Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, and Shakib Al Hasan.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the leading wicket-taker of SRH and David Warner is the leading run-scorer. David Warner was absent in the previous edition after the ball-tampering incident.

The Hyderabad based franchise is captained by Kane Williamson and coached by Tom Moody. The Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium is its primary home ground.

Shikhar Dhawan is the only big name which is missing from SRH after being traded to Daredevils.
