India vs Australia Tests Preparations by BCCI


India’s tour of Australia began with three-match T20I series and India lost the first T20I match. The Second T20I is scheduled for November 23 at Melbourne Cricket Ground. The three-match T20I series will be followed by the Four-match test series.

After losing the Test matches in the series against South Africa and England earlier this year. India is determined to win the tests against Australia. The first Test begins on December 6 in Adelaide and India is all set to win their first-ever Test series Down Under.

India’s Test squad includes Virat Kohli, Murali Vijay, Lokesh Rahul, Prithvi Shaw, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Hanuma Vihari, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Parthiv Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

BCCI has decided to give high priority to players who have been selected just in the Test squad. BCCI told that Assistant coach Sanjay Bangar and training assistant Nuwan have left for Sydney to train Prithvi Shaw, Hanuma Vihari, Murali Vijay and Ajinkya Rahane. The players will begin their training on Sydney Cricket Ground.

Prithvi Shaw, Hanuma Vihari, Murali Vijay and Ajinkya Rahane were all part of India A squad during the unofficial four-day Test against New Zealand A that began on November 16.

Prithvi Shaw had scored a century on Test debut against West Indies in Rajkot, he made two fifties (62 and 50). Murali Vijay failed in the first innings but scored 60 in the second innings.

Hanuma Vihari hit an impressive fifty in tough conditions against England at The Oval, he also hit two fifties (86 and 51*). Ajinkya Rahane who captained India A side had a score of 12 and an unbeaten 41.

India’s batsmen performed their best but the match between India A and New Zealand A at Mount Maunganui ended in a draw. India will play its four Test matches in Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney respectively. To get the latest cricket news, visit https://www.cricadium.com/ .
