Virat Kohli is not very far to join Elite team of 10k Runs

Cricket and batting go side by side. Some well-known Batsmen have scored huge amount of runs in the international cricket.

In One Day Internationals, there are 12 batsmen so far who have scored 10000 ODI runs and this list of this Elite 10k Run Club includes 4 premier Indian batsmen who have already set the record of scoring 10000 plus runs in ODI.

The God of Cricket : Sachin Tendulkar was the first batsmen who scored 10000 Runs in ODI. Second Indian Batsmen is Sourav Ganguly - Our Dada who had also scored 10000 ODI Runs. Next to him is the batsmen popularly known as The Wall of Indian Cricket Team Rahul Dravid also scored 10000 Runs in ODI.

Recently our Captain Cool MS Dhoni joined the elite team of 10k ODI Runs. Before Dhoni, the only wicketkeeper-batsman to feature in the list of 10000 ODI runs is Kumar Sangakkara.   

Other than these 4 Indian Cricketers, Sri Lankan Cricketers like Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene, Tillakaratne Dilshan and Sanath Jayasuriya also hold the spot.

Australian Cricketer Ricky Ponting, Pakistani Cricketer Inzamam ul-Haq, South African Cricketer Jacques Kallis and West Indies Cricketer Brian Lara also features in the list.

Next one in line is the Best Batsmen in the world and the current Indian captain Virat Kohli who is about to score 10000 ODI Runs. He will be the fifth Indian Batsmen after Mahi and 13th overall batsmen who will achieve the target in just few upcoming ODI matches against West Indies.

The tour had scheduled 5 ODI Matches starting from October 21. Virat Kohli had already scored 9779 runs in ODI and is short o

f just 221 Runs.

Many international batsmen like Hashim Amla and Rohit Sharma are also near to score 10000 runs in ODI and join the elite group.
